POPPELMAN LEGACY DAY SEPTEMBER 8, 2019 FORT LORAMIE, OHIO
The descendants of Heinrich and Catherina Poeppelman, the original pioneer immigrants to west central Ohio, celebrated their journey and legacy on Poeppelman Legacy Day on September 8, 2019, more than 180 years after their arrival. This has been a life-long dream for family members to learn about and share the journey of the German pioneers who made the difficult journey to the United States during the 1830s.
We thank Mel Poeppelman for making the Legacy Farm signs! Special thanks to Mike Busse for setting up the signs at each of the family farms!
HONORING OUR ANCESTORS
Thank you Karen Batty and entourage for marking the cemeteries with balloons and markers!
